Whilst wandering leisurely around Maylands one Sunday, I made a happy discovery.
Henry on Eighth is a multi functional space that plays host to local artists, musicians and of course foodies.
The first floor is a bar/eatery/coffee shop. The maroon brick walls are adorned with pictures of royalty. It has a large sign with mismatched letters that spell “Long live the king!” Giving Ho8 a vintage charm and rustic feel.
The second floor is an ever changing art space, which often showcases works created onsite by local artisans.
Ho8 is community oriented. As a customer I was greeted warmly by owners Steve Lavell and Kristy Bug. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and comfortable. Kids are also most welcome!
For piping hot coffee, craft beers, a wide selection of mains and rich sweet desserts do yourself a favour and pay a visit.
49 Eighth Avenue, Maylands. Open 7am-late.
